    Somewhere new, maybe

Thinking about a 2-3 night anniversary trip about a year from now. BWV is our home resort, so I'd book there then possibly switch at 7 months.

I'm considering AKV. BLT and GF. We've never stayed at GF or BLT. AKV savanna view is DW's favorite, and fewer points than BLT and GF. But I like the monorail access for a short trip.

It'll be around Jersey Week/Veterans Day, I'm not sure which week we'd go.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

Are you looking at a Studio?

GF is a tough one at the 7-month mark, it seems.

Poly is a good monorail option, if that appeals to you, as you have really convenient Epcot monorail access also, but it's all studios. BLT is convenient, but the studios are really tight. I own there and wouldn't stay in a studio unless I was solo.

I know DW likes AKV, but maybe try something new? It's not a long trip, after all.

Yes, a studio. Poly is a good suggestion; we stayed there for two nights a few years ago and liked it.

I'm also thinking about the Riviera studio that sleeps two.

Poly studios aren't very difficult to get at 7 months; Riviera, especially the small ones, is a different story. Take a look at the calendar at the DVC site, and you'll see those are pretty much filled up before the 7 month mark.

I like Poly b/c of the split bath plus location to both Resort and Epcot monorails. I haven't tried a BLT studio yet, but everything I've heard about them makes them seem tiny. If you want to go luxe, GF is a good option but as noted they are hard to get. Check out the availability data on DISboards for how hard/easy any of these might be: https://www.disboards.com/threads/pr...added.3689931/

TL;DR of that thread -- if "about a year from now" means November, you may well be staying in BWV pending a waitlist.

We'd be ok with being stuck at BWV during Food and Wine.

And now I'm thinking, "Is this a reservation I need to walk?" It's F&W and Jersey Week.

Probably only if you really need Standard or Boradwalk, but that's a WAG.

Hoping for BW view, 11/2-6. I read that people are walking their BW view reservations already.

I didn't think the BLT studio felt overly small and we had 4 adult women staying there. But Poly or VGF studio would be my first choice. That said, at 11 months for race weekends we had trouble getting a VGF studio. Initially had a 1 bedroom and then wait list came through for a studio. I would not expect much chance at 7 months. We've had the best luck with Poly studios at 7 months (or even less) but never tried for a race weekend.
