EPCOT Forever question (on NYE)

We're planning to visit EPCOT twice during our trip to WDW in December this year. Once on 12/22 and the other on 12/31. Does anyone know whether the EPCOT Forever show will be different on those 2 dates (i.e. is it likely to be a slightly different show or finale for NYE)? I'm not sure what used to happen with Illuminations.

Just trying to decide whether to schedule it in for both nights or just for NYE.

On a similar subject - is Fantasy in the Sky at MK (on 12/30) likely to be a different show to HEA on 1/2? Hoping to see Fantasy in the Sky from the Polynesian followed by our 7:30pm ADR at Ohana on 12/30 and I think I read somewhere that it has less projections than the HEA show, so makes it more suitable to see from afar? Then we'll watch HEA from inside the park on our last evening on 1/2.

Yes, Epoct's will be different at midnight on the 31st. They will have a special countdown not done any other time. They only do theirs on the 31st, not twice like MK
Yes, MK will have a different show on the 30th. It will be the same countdown show they do at midnight on the 31st. These 2 nights are the only time those shows are done. They do "in the round" fireworks for those shows. 360 degrees, with more launch sites. It is decent from afar but honestly, having watched from both, I still prefer to be in the park for them. It's much more immersive.

Keep the boat dock area at TTC in your back pocket.
They have put restrictions on the beach at the Poly to banded resort guests only at times during Holidays. I have no idea if the early show on 12/30 fits that restriction or not. I know the late show on 12/31 does (and the 4th does)
So, if they do have someone checking the beach, or it's otherwise closed you can watch from TTC

We have 'Ohana at that time as well! LOL! Yes there is a walking trail from the Poly to the TTC. Takes around 10 minutes to get there.
