Magical Express and Transport within SSR

We have always rented a car on our previous trips but are planning on using Magical Express this trip. It's DD(19) and me and we only bring carry on. I will have checked in online to the resort. Staying at Pop for one night then moving to SSR for 7 nights. I am guessing that we would be dropped off at the main entry at Pop. Am I right in that I can take our bags to the bell hop in the morning for them to transport to SSR. Will they deliver them to our room or the bell area at SSR? If it is the bell hop how do we get to our room when we pick them up. Do they have people that can take us on a cart, shuttle? clueless on this. I know that we can walk depending on the location of the room. In addition, what about getting back to the check in area the morning we leave to leave bags with the bell hop to catch the bus later in the day. It certainly is easier to have a car but I was hoping to save the money. Rentals look very expensive for when we are going and also wanted to try something different. Thanks.

Bell services will transport your luggage to bell services at SSR when you move. All you have to do is call when you are in your room at SSR and bell services will cart them over to your room for you. They also have golf carts for luggage and people you can utilize as well at check in and out. We'd normally walk it with our luggage, but our last trip it was POURING when we needed to head back up front to get on Magical Express, so we called and in 15 minutes they helped us with luggage and gave us a dry ride back up to wait for the bus. It is customary to tip these folks for help with the luggage. They are super helpful.

Thanks pixarprincess. I was hoping it would be this simple. We are just so used to having a car but since we aren't leaving property at all during our trip I didn't feel the expense was worth it. I was seeing prices over $400.

you will be fine without one. Push comes to shove uber and lyft are an easy and relatively inexpensive alternative to disney transportation. We have used this when we didnt want to give our luggage to bell services for transport. (it will take a few hours for them to get your stuff moved, so keep that in mind).

This is why we've used Lyft/Uber a few times instead of waiting for our luggage to be transferred. It can take all day (we once had luggage transferred from BC to BW and didn't get it until 5 PM), so if you want/need your luggage to be at SSR when you come back after doing the parks, use Lyft/Uber.

This is one of the most frustrating things (for me) about WDW calling its top-level resorts "Deluxe." You literally cannot have someone from bell services escort you and your luggage (or groceries, etc.) from your car to your room. Your only option is to leave it with them and have it delivered in some unknowable amount of time. Anywhere else, it would be a routine request, but not at WDW. Insane.

Portofino, at US. Bell guy walked us to the room with our luggage, on the way he told us everything he could about the resort and parks. Great service.

Exactly what one should expect from a deluxe resort.
