Uber/Lyft pickup at values and moderates

At the resorts which have parking lots and roads around the perimeter, will Uber/Lyft pick you up near your building (e.g. the back parking lot at AS Movies if you're staying in the Herbie section) or do you have to be in front of the main building?

Yes, they can drive anywhere YOU can drive your vehicle.
The lone exception is at CSR where there are internal gates that need a band to access the lots. They are unable to get in to pick up there. They can drop off of course, since you are with them to gain access, but can not pick up.

Thanks. We'll be at CBR. Will I have to tell the driver where to pick us up or can they "see" where we are?

You set the pin in your exact location through the app. They may call or message through the app for clarification if they can't figure it out.

    All of the above, really.
Uber has a "live" tracking that you enable.
As mentioned above you will set your pin to your exact location when you request your ride. This means you do not request your ride until you are standing at your pick up spot. When we stayed at CBR we stood at the circle drive that was outside of each building area. We also made sure the Live tracking option was enabled. If the driver needed help finding us I let them know the nearest building number. We didn't have any issues with them finding us. This system worked at POR too. FQ we always just walk to the lobby since there are only a couple of areas that you can drive to anyway. We've not stayed at Values but the same should work there.

Oh, they won't be able to drive into FW either. Just as a point of reference.

You can manually move your pin, so if you're still in your room (and GPS auto-sets your location away from the parking lot) you can move the pin to the parking lot, request the Uber and then walk over. Just take a look first at how far away the closest car is so you'll know how much time you have to get to your pickup location. It sounds more complicated than it is when you do it in the app -- which you can play with on your phone now without actually requesting a ride.

yeah but for someone not used to it, it's easy to get wrong.
When you are talking about something like CBR with many buildings and driveways very close together you have to be exact with your pin or they'll go to the wrong building. So you do it however, my advice remains. Stand where you want to be picked up, if you aren't VERY good at manually moving the pin around.

A follow up to this thread...we used Lyft to get from CBR to BWI; our location on the Lyft app showed up as our building number, 53.
