Yup! I have a SIL who insists that the world is against her. Takes zero responsibility for her own actions. I have a friend who I feel like I need a nap after talking to. She's exhausting. It's like she sucks the air right out of the room. This is what called ID and answering machines are for.

You're obviously calling the wrong people.

Dealing with life sucking family members is a whole different ball game.

That's what EasyWDW is for. I have only one friend that knows of my Disney obsession... now I understand why she never returns my calls.

I'm not actually on speaking terms with my SiL, so I'm not sure if you're in better shape or I am. My SiL is honestly one of the most heinously witchy people I have every met (we're not FB friends anymore because she was so nasty to me on there), so I'm actually thankfully that we don't have a relationship (and that she lives in Memphis, and we live in Chicago, so chances of contact are at a minimum).

Everyone has a bad day, and I will cheerfully listen to anyone's rant about it - but when every day is drama filled? That's just too exhausting for me to put up with. I've had a couple of friends who I've deliberately drifted apart from for that very reason.

I would say that you could call me to talk about Disney, but DH might get a bit jealous - he's fine with my guy friends, but for some reason I think he'd feel more threatened by a Disney-obsessed one.

Maybe his jealousy would cause him to pick up a Disney guidebook or start a Disney related website to win back your affection.

I can certainly relate. I'm the baby of the family. Loved it!!

Hmm...I don't think so. I can't actually complain about my DH - he loves Disney almost as much as I do, and as long as we can swing it financially, he's pretty darn willing to go. This is particularly impressive since no one in his family likes Disney at all.

Just got back from dropping DH off at the airport. He's on a business trip all week long and me thinks it's time to break out all the Disney DVDs and do a Disney DVD marathon fest all week long!

I remember Quisp cereal too. Wasn't there also a Quake cereal or is my memory really foggy?

I had a bunch of responses but then accidentally navigated away. Hate it when that happens!

    Anyway . . . great idea for a thread!

Just got back from a weekend skiing/tubing/waterparking(?). Got a ton of laundry to do and a load started, so I'm technically getting work done while I'm catching up on the forums.

    Trying this again:

I've been calling my kids #1 and #2 (and then #3 and #4) for years. Long before I found forums. It doesn't win me mother of the year, but my kids find it less offensive than being called the wrong name.

It's not too late! I'll bet the 300 or so of us could play along.

Same here, except he'd rather give himself a root canal than help me plan for it!

It's Monday. I hate Mondays. Up at 5:15 and got DD off to school at 6. Now I am waiting for DS to get up and get him off to school. I think just about every muscle in my body is sore from doing yard work all weekend.
