I just learned YOLO recently from my two teens. Had no clue what it was.

YOLO is usually what some moron says when they do something completely dumb and/or dangerous. My feeling is it's the "hold my beer and watch this" of the current generation.

I know people usually use a y instead of an ie, but can we add appy to the list?

People should write like they talk. If someone over 3 were to say things like appy, breakie, or sammy to me in real life, I'd probably have to smack them.

My sister went through a phase in her pre-teen years were she used this phrase all the time. I hit her on the head each time. Took her about 2 months of that to stop. She is in her 20's now and thanks me for doing that.

My fave is some who slams someone else and then says No Offense... Like that gives you a free pass to be an a-hole to someone.

    Thank you for your diligence.
I was under the impression that this rule was already in existence. Is this a notice that it has become official or is this just a helpful hint for the new people? (I almost used the word ending in -ie for new people there, but caught myself)

Comedians love making fun of that one. For example, "No offense but you are an awful, putrid, ugly, piece of trash and I hate being in your presence. No offense."

Lonely Island/Adam Levine did a great send-up of this. (And, unlike most of their videos, this one is even work-safe. Mostly.)

I'm fine with everything you've mentioned so far, but if "totes adorbs" gets outlawed, I may as well leave.

    "It is what it is."

    "Livin' the dream."

    "Peeps."

"Booyah." Except when Jackie Brown says it. Everyone else sounds silly. (1:30)

My 9 year old is just like that comedian, he thinks "no offense" can be followed by anything he is thinking, even calling his mother fat... he doesnt value his life much.

My boss's favorite saying is "It is what it is". So that ranks up there for me too. Another of his favorites is if I ask him to give me a date I can meet with him and his response his " How about the second Tuesday from never". I think it's from some movie, but highly irritating!

I dont text well because I feel stupid using abbreviations!

My thoughts are that if you've got so much to text me that you need to abbreviate every word and don't have time for capitalization and punctuation, then maybe you should pick up the phone and make a call, 'cause I don't have time to get my secret decoder out.

Really dislike "K" for "okay" and "coo" for "cool". Especially when the user is over 30

I'm a texting nerd. I have to write in full sentences. And I even correct things I inadvertently misspell.
