Thursday January 28th
Predicted Crowd Level: 3.
Actual Crowd Level: 1.
Weather: High of 66 and low of 61. Rain most of the day.
Another Orlando rain out. You’ve got two options here – leave the electronics behind, put on ponchos, and enjoy short waits, or wait until it’s sunny and in turn wait a lot longer in line when it’s nice out. You could basically walk on Everest seven of the eight hours.
The rain kept Test Track down most of the day, operating for a total of less than two hours over the course of the day. That pushes up wait times elsewhere, particularly at indoor attractions.
With the rain and low expected overall crowd level, this is about as good as Studios is ever going to get this year, and that includes triple digit waits at Toy Story and an overall average of 35+ minutes during the afternoon. These are really good wait times with Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Movie Ride, and Tower of Terror all hovering around 20 minutes through 11:30am.
Some of the shortest waits of the year continue at Magic Kingdom. If you don’t mind being pelted with rain, you can weave your way around Magic Kingdom with short waits at most attractions. Some still do see relatively long waits. There really isn’t such a thing as Peter Pan’s Flight and Mine Train not peaking at 60+ minutes.
With the sunshine on Friday, we should see significantly higher wait times.
