We’ll get going on these daily wait times reports, which are designed to let you know what crowd levels are currently like and to hold the crowd calendar predictions accountable.

Predicted 4-Park Crowd Level: 1.
Predicted 4-Park Average Wait Time: 89 minutes.
Actual 4 Park Crowd Level: 1.
Actual 4-Park Average Wait Time: 89 minutes.
Weather: High of 81 and low of 59. No precipitation. A nice day.
We were expecting a 12-minute overall average and ended up with a 13-minute overall average. Blame those short-lived 30+ minute wait times from 11:30am-12:30pm at DINOSAUR for increasing the average from 12.4 minutes to 12.7 minutes. Otherwise, the majority of attractions were walk-ons all day, which is what you would expect from a Park that still isn’t featuring Rivers of Light on one of the lowest attended days of the year.
Epcot’s predicted overall wait time was 22 minutes with the actual average coming in even lower at the most recommended Park for the day. Typically, Disney will still post a longer wait at Soarin’ later into the evening, so while attendance was nearly exactly what we thought it would be, wait times were quite possibly the lowest of the year. Hence, the “1” overall crowd level. The Inaugural Festival of the Arts may be pushing more people to visit on weekend dates as well.
The Studios wait times estimates basically assume that one major attraction is either going to suffer capacity problems or go down for technical issues. On this particular day, it was Tower of Terror, which operated with limited elevators in the afternoon. Still, the 31-minute actual average was just a minute longer than the predicted 30-minute average.
Magic Kingdom was “tentatively recommended” as we were expecting an average wait time of 25 minutes with evening Extra Magic Hours. It came in at 27 minutes. Attendance was a tinge higher than expected, but these wait times are still well below average for the year. Hence, the “tentatively recommended” status. Evening Extra Magic Hours’ wait times were largely nonexistent, even though they started earlier than usual and ended at 10pm.
If you’re wondering what the lowest wait times of the year look like…this is it.
