As previously reported back on October 18th and reiterated on October 19th, Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade is not running from Sunday November 7th through Saturday November 13th at the Animal Kingdom. At the time, the reason for the cancellation was unknown. Now, we know that Disney is introducing its Cottontop Tamarins to a new habitat surrounding the Tree of Life beginning the evening of the 7th. In order for the animals to settle in a little more comfortably, the Parade is canceled in order to keep the noise level down. After all, we don’t want to give these little buggers the monkey equivalent of a stroke do we?
That wouldn’t be very Disney-like. Considering there are only about 2,000 adult Cottontops in the world, they are as precious as they look.
The (possibly) good news is that Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade will replace Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade beginning November 14th. The Christmas version of the Parade was originally slated to begin November 26th. The November Crowd Calendar will be updated with the changes shortly.
