Many Future World Rides at Epcot to Continue Closing at 7pm Despite Hours Change

October 4, 2010 ~ Less than a minute read1 Comment

You may recall this post from last week exclaiming that Epcot’s Future World would remain open until 9pm beginning October 3rd.  While Future World’s hours will now officially be 9am-9pm rather than 9am-7pm, many of the Future World rides that previously closed at 7pm will continue to close at 7pm.

The following rides continue to close at 7pm:

Captain EO

Innoventions

Journey into Imagination with Figment

Living With The Land

The Circle of Life

Universe of Energy/Ellen’s Energy Adventure

That leaves the following rides open until 9pm:

Mission Space

Seas With Nemo and Friends

Soarin’

Spaceship Earth

Test Track

Turtle Talk With Crush (last show at 8:40pm)

While this is the current list, Disney does have the flexibility to keep additional rides open until 9pm if the crowds demand it.  I would not be surprised to see additional rides with extended hours over the holidays.  While this is somewhat disappointing news, all of the attractions that close at 7pm are relatively easy to see in the afternoon.  Since this isn’t really a change from how things at Epcot have run in the past, it shouldn’t affect Park touring.
