Disney made a round of updates to the January 2016 operating schedule today. This also confirms the Star Wars Symphony in the Stare fireworks times for the month. The show will take place at 8pm most nights. Peak nights earlier in the month see the fireworks scheduled at 10pm or 11pm. On select nights, a second Fantasmic has been added at 9pm, in addition to the 7pm show. That makes it relatively easy to enjoy the fireworks and then file into the Hollywood Hills theater for the second Fantasmic, which would be the desirable order of things. Note that the fireworks close Great Movie Ride one hour and 15 minutes before the start of the fireworks and Toy Story Mania 45 minutes before the start of the fireworks.
Friday January 1:
- Epcot hours extended to 8am-9pm from 9am-9pm.
- Hollywood Studios hours extended to 8am-11pm from 8am-10pm. Star Wars fireworks added at 11pm.

Thanks for posting this Josh, nice to see the final hours for January (except for 1/31, for some reason).
Interesting that AK will now open at 7am on 1/30 with the new opening time, plus EMH. That seems pretty early for one of the lowest crowd times of the year, and with them not even extending the closing time past 6:30.
Sorry I am confused. Never saw Epcot close at 8– it was always 9 on every calendar I saw–it was 9 for your calendar that I have been planning off of and has been 9 for the past 10 years I have been going.
I don’t see any 8pm close listed for Epcot, either before or after the operating schedule changes. There are a few days where the opening has been shifted from 9am to 8am–maybe your eyes got confused? 🙂
