Just a heads up if you’re planning a trip in February of 2011. The operating hours at Animal Kingdom have been shortened one hour from February 1st through the 12th. This means the Animal Kingdom will be open from 9am to 5pm rather than 9am to 6pm and evening Extra Magic Hours will be from 5pm to 8pm. The hours were also shortened from 9am – 7pm to 9am – 6pm on February 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. This doesn’t affect the Parks to visit or avoid, but you’ll want to note the shorter hours and possibly rethink dining reservations. Other than February and March 2011, no other changes to Park hours have been made recently. I am expecting changes to October 2010 to come in about 10 days. Disney usually tweaks the hours slightly and may add additional Fantasmic shows to meet demand. It’s also very possible they will change the February hours back to the way they were. We just never know.
Good luck and my Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party review should be up by the end of the evening.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
