Disney Moves Its “Travel Agents Calendars” To New Web Adddress

Just a heads up that Disney has moved our favorite version of the operating schedule to http://media.disneywebcontent.com/ from http://www.disneytravelagents.com.  Here are the new links to each month:

January: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_jan.pdf

February: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_feb.pdf

March: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_mar.pdf

April: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_apr.pdf

May: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_may.pdf

June: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_June.pdf

July: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_July.pdf

August: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_aug.pdf

September: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_sept.pdf

October: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_oct.pdf

November: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_nov.pdf

December: http://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_dec.pdf

The operating schedule is published about six and a half months in advanced of the start of a month at these links.  The link is always the same regardless of year.  Depending on your browser, you may need to click “refresh” after clicking into a PDF in order to load the new version of the document.  Some browsers, like Firefox, will not load a new version of a document if it has the same name.  Generally speaking, this is the most up to date calendar available.  The only exception is as you get closer to a specific date (as in less than one week away from a particular date), DisneyWorld.com’s calendar may have updated operating hours and entertainment that aren’t published on the WebContent Calendar.  This is common during extremely busy times like Christmas and Easter, but not common during most of the year.  For example, Disney may decide on December 23rd to open Epcot at 8am rather than 9am on December 27th because crowds are heavier than expected.  This update would most likely go live on DisneyWorld.com and not be updated at WebContent.  I’m hoping that the move from the DisneyTravelAgents.com address to DisneyWebContent.com will make people a little more comfortable with believing what they see on this version of the operating schedule.  While it would make sense that the “official” calendar at DisneyWorld.com would be the most up to date, this isn’t usually the case.  The WebContent calendar is updated before DisneyWorld.com, is much easier to read than DisneyWorld.com, and is more often correct than DisneyWorld.com.

Im somewhat “navigationally (is that a word!!LOL) challenged, Im wondering if I was able to open up April 2011, and I saved this address to my favorites, if I go there again once the hours have been released for 2012 will I need to change anything ? or will the 2012 hours just pop up instead of 2011

2012 would “pop up,” but you may need to refresh the page to see them by clicking the “refresh” button on your browser. The thing is that some browsers don’t automatically reload new versions of a document if the document name is the same. For example, Firefox doesn’t know that the file has been updated if it’s always called easywdw.pdf. But yes, the link to April will at some point in the future point to the 2012 operating hours. I would expect April 2012 to come out between September 16th and 19th.

Thanks for posting this. I had the old links and they weren’t working anymore. Any idea why there are no extra magic hours for January 2013?
