2010 Candlelight Processional Dinner Package Available Tomorrow

August 25, 2010 ~ 2 minutes readLeave a Comment

Just a reminder that the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package is set to be available tomorrow, August 26th, 2010.  To book, call (1-407-939-3463).  Disney Dining Office opens at 7am Eastern Time (4am Pacific Time).  If you want to book Le Cellier or another popular restaurant, you probably want to be on the phone at 7am Eastern, especially if you’re traveling from December 21st through December 30th.  When you call, you will hear one of two things.  If you hear, “Thank you for calling Disney Dining, our office is closed,” hang up and redial as fast as possible.  If you hear, a jingle sound and “Thank you for calling Disney Dining, we’re glad you called,” stay on the phone.  Once you hear the automated message switch to Spanish, say “reservations.”  Then say “yes” once the automated message begins the next question   and “no” once the automated message begins the second question.  The first question you’re saying yes to is, “Do you want to speak to an agent?” and the question you’re answering no to is, “Are you currently in the Orlando arera and is this reservation for the next seven days?”  After answering yes and no, you should hear, “Please stay on the line for the next available agent.”  You’ll probably want to start calling a few minutes before 7am Eastern Time just in case your clock doesn’t match Disney’s opinion of what time it is.  Be prepared for a wait of 60 minutes or more if you’re calling right at 7am.  A lot of people will be calling and many of them will be booking the most popular restaurants.   Once a person comes on the line, quickly say, “I would like to book the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package at (restaurant name) on (insert date) for the (insert time of show you would like to see, either 5pm, 6:45pm, or 8:15pm) show.  Also have a couple backup plans (both restaurants and dates) in case there is no availability.  I write this information down so I don’t have to think about what I’m going to say.  Also be sure to have your credit card ready.  You won’t be charged until you dine at the restaurant, but you must cancel within 48 hours of the reservation time or there is a cancellation penalty (which has been the entire amount of the package in the past).

It’s still not known if you will be able to book online, but it’s unlikely.  The Package has still not been added to the Disney Dining Reservations page.  Hopefully that information, along with the pricing and participation information will be available by the end of the day.

The restaurants and final narrators are still not yet available as of 12:30pm on August 25th.  I do not expect many differences from the 2009 details though.  The cost will probably go up a few dollars.  I have heard that Via Napoli and La Hacienda will not be participating, but it would make sense that at least Via Napoli would.

If you would like to read more about the Candlelight Processional, visit my article, “Is the Candlelight Processional Dining Package Worth It?”  It covers a lot of topics including when the show is scheduled, what it’s about, whether or not your kids will enjoy it, what restaurant to pick with the package, when the best time to see it is, where the private Illuminations viewing area is located, and a lot more.

Good luck and save me a piece of cake.
