Review: Brewer’s Collection 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

September 8, 2019 ~ 1 minute read1 Comment

We continue from Germany.

The Brewer’s Collection returns to the left of the Germany Marketplace and the Germany Pavilion.

As has been true for the last several years, only three drafts are available. The Weihenstephaner Festbier is also available at the Germany Marketplace

Weihenstephaner Festbier Lager – $4.50

Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan (really) brings us their Festbier, which is an Oktoberfest-style Märzen. The caramel-y, malty beer is a little bit sweet with a nice spicy hop presence throughout the sip. Hopefully we’ll see the brewery’s Vitus or Hefeweissbier Dunkel next year. Those are outstanding, but this one is worth a try, too.

Hacker-Pschorr Hefe Weisse Naturtrüb – $4.50

The Hacker-Pschorr is very good too with your typical flavor profile for this style – bread-y, malt-y, clove-y, banana-y with just a little bit of spice on the back end.

Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen Pomegranate Beer – $4.50

Made with 50% unfiltered German Hefeweizen and 50% pomegranate juice, the Schofferhofer Pomegranate is refreshing for as long as the 4- or 6-ounce cup lasts, but at 2.5% ABV, isn’t going to take you very far. It’s It’s sweet, crisp, and easy to drink.

As always, the Flight is made up of three 4-ounce pours, while each individual pour is six ounces. That makes the per-ounce cost less if you go with the individual beers.

Overall, the Flight is worth a try and may help you identify which style(s) you like most.

Africa is up next.
