Bar: A bar with about 15 stools sits inside the restaurant and looks inward at the bar rather than out on the water. An outdoor bar at the front of the boat is open when temperatures permit.

Setting: Housed inside of a full-size riverboat replica docked on the wharf of what used to be Pleasure Island, Fulton’s is one of the more unique looking restaurants on property. Dine inside one of the opulent dining rooms or outside on deck.

  • Potentially one of the fancier and more romantic restaurants.
  • One of the only places on Disney property to get “real” seafood like lobster and crab that is flown in fresh daily.
  • Meal includes crab dip, crackers, and bread.
  • Lunch features less expensive favorites, but the full dinner menu is also available.
  • Seafood is high quality, fresh, and prepared well.
  • Service is usually stellar.
  • Extensive wine list.
  • The riverboat setting is fun and difficult to replicate outside of Disney World.
  • Kids menu includes choice of crab legs, steak, hamburger, and a host of others.

  • Expensive
  • Considering the price, this will be a disappointment if the food or service isn’t outstanding, which it occasionally isn’t. It’s also hard to control who is seated around you and that romantic meal may be less so with families or large groups nearby.

Value: Variable.  This is another difficult one because everyone’s needs, tastes, and pocketbooks are different.  If money is of no consequence then Fulton’s is a good choice because the food is on a level above any other Downtown Disney restaurant and on par with Disney’s own signature restaurants.  Lunch is also much cheaper with most entrées in the $15 range.  Visit then to enjoy the ambiance and fresh seafood without having to foot the dinner bill.

Reputation: Fulton’s is an expensive proposition, but guests that choose to dine here are often rewarded. With several less expensive items on the menu, diners don’t necessarily have to spring for the lobster or king crab legs. Food and service quality can be inconsistent, but most guests enjoy their experiences. Give it a shot if you’re looking for the classiest experience at Downtown Disney.

  1. Auntie Peep says

This restaurant used to be one of our favs. No longer. We visited on our last trip and then took our family there in March. Poor service to begin with but the worst part was the food
portions and quality were embarrassing. Actually had to order more crab legs to fill us all up. Then waiter from another table spilled full glass of water down the back of one of our guests. Disappointed both times and will be awhile before we spend another $400 on a meal there.

  2. Chloe says

We ate there the other night. While the service was great, there’s no way I’d spend that much money on a meal again when I could go to a comparable restaurant nearby for half the price. So not worth the money.

  3. Brittany says

My boyfriend and I ate here this past October(2013) and we loved it. The service was outstanding and both of our meals were delicious. We were on the DDP which was a plus considering how expensive the restaurant is. We plan on making this a regular stop every time we go to WDW.
