Refreshment Port Review at Disney’s Epcot

June 20, 2020 ~ 1 minute read3 Comments

Refreshment Port

For a look at all of Epcot’s quick service reviews, see this post.

Epcot Refreshment Port

As you walk toward the Canada Pavilion, you’ll see Refreshment Port on the right before you arrive in Canada. Disney typically uses the Promenade Refreshments as a Festival location. The temporary Starbucks location is also now over there.

Refreshment Port Menu:

Refreshment Port has refreshed its menu a couple of times over the years. It used to serve as the primary outlet for croissant doughnuts. It now primarily serves poutine, ostensibly due to its proximity to the Canada Pavilion.

Beef Brisket Poutine

Beef Brisket Poutine Refreshment Port Epcot

This is ballpark food at its finest. Refreshment Port serves its fries piping hot and extra crispy with plenty of creamy beer cheese sauce to cover the extra large pile of potatoes. The Beef Brisket is more of a quantity-over-quality situation with at least six ounces of juicy meat sandwiched in between the fries and sauce. The Crispy Onions mostly get lost in the mix, but you’ll enjoy a little bit of an astringent punch from time to time. There are certainly more diverse options available in World Showcase, but sometimes you’re just in the mood for a pound of fries and meat. There’s no fault in that.

Festival and Traditional Poutine

Disney usually offers a poutine for the seasonal Festival. This one is a more manageable Duck Confit version. The Traditional Poutine comes with a beefy gravy and plenty of chewy cheese curds.

Dragon Berry Refresher:

Epcot Dragon Berry Cooler

This is similar to the slushes in France. The drink is cold and refreshing with a little flavor from the rum and a distant, artificial berry flavor.

Epcot United Kingdom Refreshment Port Seating

There are few tables with chairs near the Refreshment Port, so your best bet is heading down here to the seating section for Yorkshire County Fish.  They don’t care if your food is from elsewhere; you just march right through in between these two kiosks. Most people assume the seating section is for the restaurant, so tables are typically vacant. There are additional tables closer to Yorkshire Fish in the United Kingdom Pavilion, but they are few in number and are usually occupied.

Refreshment Port is also a good choice for a complimentary cup of ice water when lines are short, as they usually are.

Well thanks for the seating tip. I’ve assumed for the last eleven years worth of trips that the seating section was for rose and crown. We’ve eaten many fish and chips sitting on the curb.

    Vacation saved.
