Liberty Square Sandwiches Cart

October 9, 2012 ~ 1 minute read1 Comment

10/8/14 Update: Menu updated and items added.

Liberty Square Sandwiches is a cart in the Liberty Square area. You’ll either find it here in between Liberty Square Riverboat and Haunted Mansion or behind Liberty Square Market outside of Columbia Harbour House. If this stand isn’t operating, the sandwiches are available at nearby Liberty Square Market.

There are two options available – both pre-made.

The Hot Ham and Cheddar.

There was a lot more ham than you’d get on your usual Disney sandwich, but there was not a whole lot to it otherwise. They are pre-made and served in the aluminum foil you see underneath the sandwich. There may have been “dijonnaise sauce” present in one or two bites. The sandwich was fine, but it probably would not be my meal choice in the Magic Kingdom unless I was in a big hurry and lines were long elsewhere. I can’t see one of these sandwiches being on anyone’s short list for lunch, but they’re here, filling, and probably tastier than they look.  Just think Arby’s.

The Hot Roast Beef and Swiss.

This was actually really good. It’s reminiscent of the Be Our Guest Restaurant sandwiches served at lunch. I would tell you that the bread is the same and the sandwich remained hot even after walking it up to Rapunzel and fiddling around with the pictures. You could also pop into Columbia Harbour House to sit if it’s raining or temperatures become uncomfortable. The horseradish sauce did not have a lot of flavor. If you’re going to go horseradish, you might as well go full horseradish. But a lot of the flavors on Disney food are dumbed down to lower the chances that someone will return the food for a refund. So we get a mostly tasteless horseradish sauce. It does add a bit of moisture. The roast beef wasn’t too salty and there was a lot of it. I have a hard time imagining anyone would make one of these sandwiches their main meal at Magic Kingdom, but it’s another option if you’re looking for a quick meal or heavy snack. There’s usually all of five people at the two registers at Liberty Square Market and nobody in line at the Cart.

[…] Since we took a look at the Hot Dog at Storybook Hot Dog, I won’t rehash that here. It’s a decent amount of food for the money, but nothing special. Sandwiches are covered here. […]
