12/1/15 Update: Updated menu. Pork Shank is no longer on the menu.
Gaston’s Tavern is located in the middle of New Fantasyland, in between Be Our Guest Restaurant and the Journey of the Little Mermaid.
The two remaining items that bring people to Gaston’s are the LeFou’s Brew, and Warm Cinnamon Rolls. A Beef Stew with a side of bread may also be available for $9.99.
Disney made a big deal out of LeFou’s Brew, which is the same thing as Red’s Apple Freeze over in Cars Land.
Opinions on LeFou’s seem to be pretty divided. You may want to order one for your group and try it first before committing to one for everyone.
The portion size on the regular cups may or may not be larger. Personally, I like LeFou’s Brew okay. It’s nice, cold, and refreshing, particularly in the middle of a summer day. It’s basically frozen apple juice with marshmallow Monin syrup and topped with a mango foam.
The Chocolate Croissant is pretty good – fluffy and potentially lighter than you’re expecting. It’s full of chocolate chips, but not overly sweet.
The Hummus and Chips are pre-packaged Sabra brand. There are not enough pretzels for the amount of hummus.
The fruit cup is on the sad side of things with only a few bites of melon.
This picture was taken in the middle of the day when Space Mountain’s wait was 210 minutes and you can see that Gaston’s is still not particularly busy. It’s one of the easier quick services to visit because lines are short.
Inside, there’s a limited amount of space to sit.
As one might expect, the decor is heavy on the antlers.
Gaston’s is a quick and easy stop. The menu and seating are limited, but if something sounds good, it’s worth trying.
There was no review or picture of the cinnamon roll, so I thought I’d chime in. The cinnamon roll is similar to the Main Street Bakery roll (in other words, not flat and gross, but large, delicious, and delicious); the frosting has a maple taste to it. I thought it was delicious.
I concur with Amanda’s take on the cinnamon rolls.. and they are not small. I think it will ranked up there with the Dole Whip Floats as a ‘must do’ at MK.
