“Gods of the Vikings” is a new exhibit housed inside of the Stave Church in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.
It replaces the Frozen-inspired exhibit that debuted all the way back in 2013. You can pull up pictures of that, along with a holiday review of Biergarten, at the start of this post, here.
The current exhibit is small, but compelling, and takes a look at how Norse mythology guided the Viking way of life.
The majority of the artifacts are authentic and date back a thousand or more years.
Here’s a look at what you can expect to see:
Odin:
Thor:
Yggdrasil – The Mythical Tree:
Loki:
Freya:
“Gods of the Vikings” provides a nice mix of authentic artifacts and interesting information. It’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to peruse.
Awesome! Thanks Josh for taking the care to post all that can be read in the exhibit. This is a great addition to Epcot.
Thank you, Josh!! Love to get to “see” these exhibits even though I can’t make it to WDW this year. I love to spend my lunch break pretending I am there and browsing your fantastic photos! Also……I want your job, it’s so much better than mine 🙂
excellent job mr. josh
I really appreciate these detailed exhibit posts. Thanks.
This is so cool. I just had a baby girl and her name is Freya. Very cool to see the exhibit on her name. Wish I could get things with her name on it lol
