Monday January 4th is the last day for the Phineas and Ferb Meet and Greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Cars characters will also be waving goodbye at the same time, at least so far as inanimate objects can wave.
This Joffrey’s stand, which opened somewhat recently, will also close.
I’d expect the Premier Theater to also unofficially close at the same time, though shows are not routinely scheduled there.
Pizza Planet’s last day is expected to be Monday January 18th. The quick service will be closed for about eleven months, potentially re-opening in the first week in November. There’s no confirmation of a thematic change, but it seems likely with Toy Story Land already announced as a major expansion behind the current Pixar Place. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to have a Pixar-themed eatery so far away from the rest of the Land, not that MGM Studios has ever made a lot of sense.
The days seem numbered for “Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show,” in addition to Watto’s Grotto and the Mike and Sulley Meet and Greet. There’s some disagreement over whether or not Studio Catering Co. will make it, but it seems likely that the whole area back there will be closed to guests eventually for staging and construction.
