Disney made a limited number of additional changes to the May 2016 operating schedule. Otherwise, Magic Kingdom’s hours were already extended for the most part and the Park closes nightly at 11pm or 12am. Main Street Electrical Parade was added on Friday May 27th and the Festival of Fantasy Parade was moved to 3pm from 12pm. That’s two more indications that we won’t see a 24-hour day scheduled on that date. A second Main Street Electrical Parade was added on 16 nights over the first four weeks of the month. Disney does not always extend hours or add entertainment to the last few days of a month and that is what we see here with the lack of changes over the busy Memorial Day Weekend. We may not see an update to May 29 – 31 until the middle of May. It’s not like Memorial Day Weekend isn’t the busiest since Easter or anything…Animal Kingdom sees just one extension on May 28th when the close is an hour later to 8pm. Other than that, Animal Kingdom is currently never open past 6:30pm, despite Rivers of Light and the nighttime enhancements originally planned to debut April 22nd.

Does adding a 2nd nighttime parade have any affect whatsoever on the earlier nighttime parade crowds?
The second parade is noticeably less crowded than the first run. Families go to the first parade, see the wishes and the head for the exits.
