I updated the March 2012 Disney World Crowd Calendar with the changes listed earlier in the week here. You’ll now see references to all of the newly added Electrical Parades, Fantasmic shows, extended operating hours, etc. I also added a bit of color here and there about current trends in crowds and wait times along with additional information about when to visit the characters that will have appreciable waits over the course of the day. Overall, there really wasn’t anything surprising in the update that would cause the recommendations to be altered in any meaningful way. As usual, most the changes make the “most recommended” and “highly recommended” Parks that much better. I think the only recommendation change was February 8th, where Magic Kingdom went from “tentatively recommended for the Main Street Electrical Parade” to “not recommended” because the Electrical Parade was added on Friday the 9th. As usual, there is about 70 pages of “daily analysis” underneath the crowd calendar image.
Overall, much of March is expected to be busy, with the 11th to the 17th looking to be the busiest week of the month. Last year, crowds prior to Easter never materialized to the extend Disney was expecting. This year, everything is pointing to a spring break season that is as busy as expected. Luckily, we’re looking at crowds, temperatures, and humidity that are still lower than the peak summer months.
