Introducing Walt Loved Podcasting, A Walt Disney World Podcast

February 8, 2019 ~ 1 minute read10 Comments

I am excited to bring you news of the website’s new podcast, in partnership with Mike from the BlogMickey.com and Bret from the Twitter.

Currently, the podcast sits at #1 on iTunes in the Places and Travel category. Our first episode covers our thoughts on how the Tron coaster will fit into Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World as a whole. Spoiler: We’re not so sure that it will. If you’re an iTunes person, you can listen and subscribe here. If Spotify is more your speed, the podcast is available here. We’re also on Stitcher here. If you’d prefer a direct MP3 download, then you’ll find that here.

All three of us are Orlando locals who visit the Parks three to seven days a week. Blog Mickey is on the ground virtually every day at BlogMickey.com and is typically the first to report on news from inside the theme parks and out. When we talk about Tron in the first episode, Mike shares his thoughts from his visit to Shanghai where he experienced what will become the Tron Lightcycle attraction at Magic Kingdom firsthand. I’m told that it’s quite kinetic. Bret brings a vast amount of knowledge of how the theme park industry operates as a whole with a keen attention to detail. I bring a certain je ne sais quoi to the table. At a minimum, you’ll at least be able to verify that I am exactly as smug as I come across online and my voice is exactly as annoying as you would expect.

Speaking of sound, the audio quality of our first podcast is not stellar, but it will improve with future podcasts.

While I think we would all agree that the last thing the world needs is another Disney World podcast, we feel like we bring a unique enough take to stand out from the crowd. Just about every other podcast is already basing their opinions on our own thoughts and pictures. We thought we would start to bring you those opinions ourselves.

We’ll have a podcast covering the Festival of the Arts available this weekend that’s outside of our usual release schedule. New episodes should be available on Wednesdays with the next episode covering our thoughts on the Skyliner gondola system and Resort transportation as a whole.

Take a listen if you get a chance and let us know what you think.

I listened yesterday on Spotify and really enjoyed it! I had a little trouble distinguishing whose voice was who’s, but that should get better with more episodes. Looking forward to more!

enjoyed the first episode a lot. don’t worry about the annoying voice thing – there’s autotune of something for that. looking forward to adding this to my regular Disney podcast listening.

Really excited about these podcasts! I am not usually a podcast listener, but this inspired me to join the masses and enter the world of podcasts. Downloaded them and plan to listen on my next commute.

I think you guys are going to go far with this.

Everyone needs to speak more slowly and you should use each other’s names more so the audience knows who’s talking.

I LOVE the name and I’m psyched to see how it progresses.

Is this some backdoor way to get into the vlogging community so Disney will put you up on a 5 day cruise just to gin up interest in DCL ? Either way, who cares – happy to have something else to listen to at the office. Good luck !

Love the intro music to the podcast. Very Disney-esque.

Agree that names should be used, I want to know who makes “Disney” a three syllable word (Dis-in-ney) Also get everyone mic’d up and find a room with less reflective surfaces. The content is interesting and enjoyable, but the audio quality needs improvement.
