Disney made another round of changes to the operating hours at Hollywood Studios today. You’ll notice that the Park is now opening at 8am daily from March 1st through the 14th:
We still don’t see 7am opens during Presidents Day Weekend or as the busy spring break season gets underway moving through March. It’s possible that Disney will try to continue with the 8am opens, hoping that a similar number of people will arrive for a later opening.
Whether the Park opens at 6am, 7am, or 8am, regular/guaranteed boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance continue to be filled within about 90 seconds of the Park opening. With the Park open fewer hours, it does mean fewer guaranteed boarding groups and fewer people having an opportunity to experience Rise of the Resistance.
Extra Magic Hours in April were also changed from Morning to Evening:
They’ll run from 8:30pm to 10:30pm on Sunday nights, instead of for one hour in the morning.
