Dockside Margaritas is the scenic waterfront bar in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs just past World of Disney as you head over from one of the parking garages or bus stop.
Offering what seems to be a failing business model in freshly shaken drinks, Dockside is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick, quality drink.
A couple of canned beers are available, while Coppertail Freedive IPA out of Tampa is the seasonal draft.
It’s a really pleasant space with live music most of the day.
And a variety of seating options with the cool breeze coming off the water.
I’ve tried a variety of drinks here since the bar opened back in April of 2015. This is the $14 “Patrón Añejo Margarita – Patrón Barrel Select Añejo Tequila, Grand Marnier, Sweet-and-Sour and fresh Lime Juice.”
It was refreshing and mixed well, packing a sizable punch.
The frozen drinks are surprisingly good too with a really nice, icy texture with fresh fruity flavors doing a nice job of masking the ever-present alcohol. Very refreshing in the heat.
The $13.50 “Sunset Margarita – Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Cointreau, fresh Lime Juice, Sweet-and-Sour and Orange Juice.”
In addition to the deep, beautiful color, the margarita has a nice balance of sweet and sour flavors with tangy citrus that does a nice job of washing away the flavor from the tequila that’s at the front of each sip.
Those that lounge around a bit will find the most value. There’s something to say for heading up to the top of Paddlefish or seeking out a restaurant to enjoy a cocktail, but the lack of pressure to order anything more or otherwise have a server drop by every few minutes to “check in” may be a luxury that some appreciate.
I love stopping by to relax every so often as taking pictures of Disney merchandise is very taxing. Very taxing.
Overall, Dockside Margaritas is one of the best places in all of Walt Disney World to order a margarita and the kiosk serves some of the best drinks at Disney Springs in a lively, outdoor setting. Those that spend some time hanging out will find the most value, but the drinks are great in their own right.
