Disney World Merchandise Update

My memory is not as good as it was in my youth and there are approximately 375,942.71 products for sale around property.  Most of these items are new-ish to the best of my knowledge, but I’m sure some were also available in 1997, despite appearing on the “New Arrivals” rack.  I will have a separate update for World Showcase.

MK Cinema (right side of Main Street):

Uptown Jewelers (right side of Main Street passed Cinema):

That turkey leg wallet is the sharknado of merch. It’s hideously awesome. And I think I must have it.

  2. Bekki says

I had to look at that turkey leg wallet (??) a long time before I realized it wasn’t some awful Halloween gore prop. I could not figure out why they would put an open wound on top of some retro Mickey heads.

  3. Annie says

Thanks for all the pics, Josh. Although how they make a “Theme Park Edition” of Scrabble “boggles” me.
I hope they still have the Dumbo tee when I visit in August.

  4. wongck says

LOL…. I looked at that turkey leg for a long time and couldn’t make what was it until I came down to the comment area here and you guys says it a wallet.

Trying to figure out if that is an apron, dress or just part of the display in the 5th picture from the bottom. If it is not a dress it should be.

  6. KB says

Seriously? All I can think of seeing these zillion pics is, “That’s time that can be spent drinking! Or at least, you know, dating… wink wink.”

  7. websteroni says

Thanks for the merchandise update. The only possible thing that could make me buy an iphone is the huge selection of cases. But alas, I have a Razr and can’t imagine breaking down for an iphone so it looks like I’ll never have a cool Disney case for my phone.

  8. Mike says

This post makes me worry that the new server is snark-free. Really, that dress form thingy with the lace and the multicolored mickey heads. Nothing??? Really???

  9. John says

Still patiently waiting for resort specific merchandise for the Contemporary Resort…….. Instead we get a dozen different cookie cutters…..boooooo!

“That turkey leg wallet is the sharknado of merch. It’s hideously awesome. And I think I must have it.”

    LMAO….sums it up perfectly.

  11. Nurs3kim says

I must have that red polka dot Minnie Mouse dress! 10 days and I get to see if it’s as cute in person!!

  12. weepstah says

I thought the “My Disney Vacation” tshirt was solid but what is Mission:Space doing on there? Unless there was some caption like “My dad barfed up a lung on Mission:Space”

Those coasters in the next-to-the-last picture that state don’t use on wood really, really jacked up our dining table. I’m 99.99% sure that when we bought some like it a few years ago that there was no warning. I have a great waxy looking permanent ring on my table. Heed the words about not using on wood. What good are coasters that you can’t use on wood since I would imagine most tables are made of wood? Cheap crap did a lot of damage to my Pottery Barn table…..and again I don’t remember there being any kind of warning on them back then because we would not have bought them….

I have a Droid Razr, too – you could do what I did (I’m sick of seeing that all the phone cases Disney makes are for iPhones only): Get a $7 Razr case from Walmart (mine is charcoal colored and slightly see-through), and slap a fun Mickey sticker from WDW (or from wherever, but mine is one of the Mickey stickers the CMs are always handing out) on the back of it (covers up the serial number of the phone but it’s only on the cover so you can still slip the cover off if you need to look at those details on the phone itself). I personalized the sticker by writing my first name on it. Then I got a Mickey wallpaper for the phone screen and voila, I have a Disney phone. With the ring tone of “Once Upon a Dream.”

Cool stuff….nice to see all the good and not-so-good merch.

  15. RebeccaMcK says

The coasters also have “recommended for outdoor use” on the packaging. And some indoor coffee tables are glass – they’d probably work okay on them.

  16. Bunny says

It’s only Disney magic that I’m about 500 miles away from the Happiest Place on Earth and can already feel my wallet draining. There is so much I NEED and yet, I thought that only happened in the parks.

  17. josh says

The dress thing isn’t for sale as far as I know. They do sell some aprons.

The iPhone cases generally run $36.95.

iPhone cases are easy to make because they’re all the same size. Disney couldn’t possibly start producing covers for the hundreds (if not thousands) of Android models that are all sized differently.

  18. Ayla says

Is it just me or is the black tee with the black and white polka dotted Minnie look really inappropriate? No, just me? Ok. LOL

  19. RebeccaMcK says

Don’t mind me – I just generally boycott iPhone and all the “i” products. Won’t hurt their business AT ALL, lol. And my Droid enjoys its semi-hand-made Disney case that only cost about $8 total.

Thanks Josh for the info about the dress , It would be a super cute dress, well I think it would.
Or a kind of sexy apron, guess it depends who you are cooking for and if they are a Disney fan. Otherwise I could freak them out and not just from my terrible cooking abilities.

  21. neffernie says

I NEED that Haunted Mansion tshirt! Well, maybe not need like I need food or oxygen, but it is pretty darn close.

I too am amongst those who wishes that apron thingy was a real dress. I would wear it to MNSSHP in a heartbeat.

  22. Streak says

Thank you Josh for your continued dedication. I hope nobody called Disney security when you were taking pictures of little boy’s underpants.:)

  23. carla says

hmmm… maybe I would cook a more with WDW theme kitchen items…
wow! what wonderful items (our last vacation, May 2013) thinking I need to return for some additional Disney retail therapy… magically I am feeling better just thinking about shopping at the Magic Kingdom.
