I completed the daily analysis for the November 2012 Disney World crowd calendar and updated the crowd calendar image.
Walt Disney Company is hosting a VIP blogger event over the next few days. Bloggers are holed up for the weekend at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and are currently enjoying a presentation hosted by Samantha Brown. We should see significant updates to the Art of Animation Resort and the status of the New Fantasyland construction. Hopefully that will include a timeline for New Fantasyland openings like the new Little Mermaid dark ride, Casey Jr. Splash Zone, Be Our Guest Restaurant, etc. If we don’t get an update, I’ll share the dates I’ve seen. People continue asking, “When will (blank) open?” The answer is that there is nothing definitive.
More information on the change from Kim Possible to Phineas and Ferb for the World Showcase Adventure at Epcot here.
The Magic, The Memories, and You show at Magic Kingdom will see a summer section similar to the ones we saw for Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Concept art. This is a really neat show that shouldn’t be missed.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has a new menu and chef. Details here. I’ll take a picture of the menu and try that seafood cioppino the next time I’m at the Studios.
The Affection Section at Rafiki’s Planett Watch will be closed for refurbishment from April 30 – June 9, reopening on June 10th.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug and the Discovery Island trails continue to be closed after a small piece fell off the Tree earlier in the week. No one was hurt and there isn’t a date for when it will reopen. I would be surprised if isn’t reopened by Sunday.
According to DisneyWorld.com, Test Track is closed for refurbishment through November 30th. Unfortunately when a refurbishment is listed as going through the end of the month, it’s more likely that it will be extended even further.
