Terra Treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Terra Treats Review at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Terra Treats is located in Discovery Island.

See this page for all of the Disney’s Animal Kingdom quick service reviews.

Location: Once known as the “Allergy Kiosk,” and then the “Gardens Kiosk,” you’ll find Terra Treats across from Discovery Island Starbucks. The bridge into Africa is just ahead.

Food Type: Snacks.

Dining Plan: Yes, quick service.

Animal Kingdom Gardens Allergy Kiosk

The name is potentially of little import, as Terra Treats is almost never open. In this picture, it’s actually the “Allergy Kiosk,” with the menu on the right. Now that Disney equips just about every restaurant, quick service, and kiosk with a binder full of ingredients, there’s less need for the kiosk. Expect to see Terra Treats open around Easter and Christmas, if that.

$7 Chef’s Choice Pizza

In this case, we have the Deep Dish Pizza Slice with Italian Sausage and Red Peppers.

What the cast member served us may be an anomaly with the sad state of the toppings. They’re almost all relegated into a shallow, narrow crevice towards the center of the “slice.” There’s only one small piece of sausage, less than an inch in diameter, hiding underneath a couple tiny pieces of and red and banana pepper. Even with better coverage, I’m not sure this does anything to differentiate itself from your typical quick service pizza.

The crust, dense yet soft, is certainly an improvement. But Disney bakes the slice well in advance and they just sit in a heater until someone purchases one. At any rate, I’m surprised Disney served us such a sad slice considering we appeared to be the only people in the Park interested in it. Being so small, it’s a pretty easy skip even given the best of scenarios. A cheese version is available for $6. You could burn a snack credit on a slice that’s probably as hearty as a Mickey Pretzel.

Disney served The Spaghetti and Meatballs Cupcake for about two weeks around Christmas 2019. Disney has never actually served “The Loggerhead.” The company was probably planning on an Easter introduction.
