Here’s what we’re looking at for May:
If you have no idea what any of those letters and numbers mean, read the beginning of this post which explains it. Click the image to expand. I also updated the last week in October with minor operating schedule changes. November is up next.
May is a decent month to visit. It certainly beats the even hotter, even busier summer, but you’re looking at average to above average crowds most of the month. It only gets hotter and busier as you near June. Star Wars Weekends dates have not been announced, but they’re looking to be May 17 – 19, May 24 – 26, May 31 – June 2, and June 7 – 9. That’s the reason for the change in the Extra Magic Hours schedule those weeks. Disney wants to pull resort guests that aren’t interested in Star Wars Weekends away from the already busy Studios. The good news is that evening entertainment is plentiful and because it stays light out later, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are open later than earlier in the year. Expect a lot of 10pm closes at Hollywood Studios when Disney updates the operating schedule in mid-April.

I see that you have listed Fantasmic! on everyday in the last week of May. Has it been announced that it is everyday or is based on your best estimate? I also see that you listed MSEP – is it for sure going to be there in May? Thought I heard that it was going away and SpectroMagic was coming back?
@Peter
Fantasmic! and MESP are listed on the Official Disney travel agents website…

Do you have updates for November? I heard it has been very busy lately. I am getting nervous for my trip.
Hey Josh, I think the Animal Kingdom run thing is that first weekend, so that would change things up, eh?
Yep, just checked and it is May 4th. Not sure how this will affect the crowd levels for that day.
