Here are the current changes to March 2012. It’s basically just the addition of Fantasmic to every date that didn’t previously have a show scheduled and the extension of the operating hours to accommodate it. The only date that currently does not have Fantasmic scheduled is Wednesday October 21st. We can expect another major update to March’s operating schedule in February, most likely around the 17th to 20th. At that time, March 1st – 9th should remain similar to what we have now. From March 10th through the end of the month, we should see Animal Kingdom’s operating hours extended to 9am – 7pm or 9am – 8pm for most days. We should see a second Fantasmic and extended operating hours at Hollywood Studios on at least popular nights, if not most/all nights during that time period. Magic Kingdom will likely be open until 11pm, 12am, or even later with a second Main Street Electrical Parade added most nights. In 2011, Disney extended the operating hours to 8am – 1am on many days in March. This turned out to be unnecessary, as crowds were significantly lower than they were predicting (and in turn, lower than this site predicted). I would be surprised to see a lot of 8am openings in 2012, but you never know. We should see these changes come Mid-February.

Monday March 12: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Tuesday March 13: No changes.
Wednesday March 14: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Thursday March 15: No changes.
Friday March 16: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Saturday March 17: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Sunday March 18: No changes.
Monday March 19: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Tuesday March 20: No changes.
Wednesday March 21: No changes. Note this is currently the only day in March that does not have Fantasmic scheduled. Disney may add Fantasmic in the future, so planning on this being a non-Fantasmic day isn’t a sure bet.
Thursday March 22: No changes.
Friday March 23: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Saturday March 24: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Sunday March 25: No changes.
Monday March 26: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Tuesday March 27: No changes.
Wednesday March 28: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Thursday March 29: No changes.
Friday March 30: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.
Saturday March 31: Fantasmic added at 8:30pm. Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 7pm.

Hi Josh,
how long do you think it will take for WDW to update the FDP with the new dates in March 2012. I’m trying to do some ADRs and the new dates in early March, say 03/05 don’t show. Any clue ?
Josh…thank you for the timely updates! Does the addition of F! in late Feb/early Mar change the colors for HS on any given days during that time period? I’m currently planning on going March 1.

It seems that the full march calendar does not reflect the addition of the fantasmic nights… i am looking for week of march 4th to 10th and i do not see fantasmic on wednesdays, fridays…. i see it on the small version but not the big version ????
Not sure what you mean – Fantasmic is listed in the pdf calendar, the calendar image, and the analysis underneath the crowd calendar.
