Disney updated the operating schedule for the last week in August today. Changes are below and will be reflected in the crowd calendar image and daily analysis momentarily. The recommendations and overall crowd level are unaffected.
Sunday August 26:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 7pm from 9am – 6pm.
- Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 10pm from 9am – 9pm. Second Fantasmic added at 10pm, in addition to 8:30pm show.
- Magic Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 10pm from 9am – 9pm.
Monday August 27:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 6pm from 9am – 5pm.
- Hollywood Studios hours extended to 9am – 10pm from 9am – 9pm. Second Fantasmic added at 10pm, in addition to 8:30pm show.
Tuesday August 28:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 6pm from 9am – 5pm.
Wednesday August 29:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 7pm from 9am – 6pm.
Thursday August 30:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 7pm from 9am – 6pm.
Friday August 31:
- Animal Kingdom hours extended to 9am – 7pm from 9am – 6pm.

Ummm, August or October? I’m going to go with August, since the dates don’t match up with days of the week for October.
Do you know if Wishes is still at 9pm on the 26th?

I’ve been waiting for this. Josh, a long time back- many months ago- you made a comment in some thread somewhere, saying you expected these hours and the 2nd F! show added the last week of August. I never pay attention to that kind of stuff, but because I’m actually going to be there that week (and have never seen F!), I remembered it. Just today, I checked the calendar, and thought, “Huh- Josh may have predicted this one wrong, since we’re less than two weeks away….”
But no! Josh knows all! Thank you….
Yay! I’ve been waiting and hoping for new hours and finally gave up today and printed off my schedule spreadsheet. If that’s all that I needed to do to get the updated hours, I would’ve done it a month ago!
What the crap??? Nothing like the last minute, Disney.

I’m going to be there next week and the last week. I almost printed mine out today, glad I didn’t. I’ll be printing it tomorrow and adding it to my planner

So the second Fantasmic added on Monday the 27th…that is Evening EMH for HS. Would you not recommend going to the 10 p.m. Fantasmic because of EMH?
Also, if MK is open an hour later on the night they have Evening EMH, is EMH extended to 1 a.m. instead of midnight?

I printed off your crowd calendar image a few weeks ago for my trip that starts next Saturday. Then you posted updates to Disney’s hours for most of the parks. I thought I would go back to look at the calendar image to see if there are any changes for the end of August 2012, but I can’t get the calendar to come up, only your descriptions. Am I missing something? Thanks!
