Thanks to Shannon F for bringing these changes to my attention.
Disney has extended the operating hours at Magic Kingdom on certain days in March. I’m not sure why, since they neglected to add second Main Street Electrical Parades and didn’t extend the hours at any of the other Parks. I guess I’ll play the “Jim Hill Card” and blame it on the union. When Disney makes their more substantial update in mid-February (likely February 17th), we should see even longer hours at Magic Kingdom, in addition to longer hours at Hollywood Studios and more evening entertainment. Nonetheless, this is where we stand at the moment:
Thursday March 1: No changes.
Friday March 2: No changes.
Saturday March 3: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm.
Sunday March 4: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 10pm from 9am – 9pm.
Monday March 5: No changes.
Tuesday March 6: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 8pm.
Wednesday March 7: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 9pm from 9am – 8pm.
Thursday March 8: No changes.
Friday March 9: No changes.
Saturday March 10: No changes.
Sunday March 11: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm. DisneyWorld.com no longer lists this as an evening Extra Magic Hours day, but that is most likely a mistake.
Monday March 12: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm.
Tuesday March 13: Magic Kingdom’s hours extended to 9am – 11pm from 9am – 10pm.
Wednesday March 14: No changes.
Thursday March 15: No changes.

josh, will these extended hours change the crowd calendar? especially 3/3 – 3/9??
I thought those were the set hours already for the dates past march 27th. It was what I had planned.
Josh– right now 3/1 is worst park– but I’m wondering if you thinking the 29 24hr thing will impact this?
Looks like the disneyworld.com calendar has some different hours for February as well. Odd that the public web site was updated before the TA PDFs.
rebecca – No, it’s just an extra hour at Magic Kingdom. We’ll be seeing some more changes come February, but even those shouldn’t have a dramatic effect on the recommendations.
Cina – We should see an additional extension closer to February. The updates here are different from what was originally announced.
mousehelper – I’m expecting an update on what is expected to go on during that “Extra Day” on Monday and will make an appropriate update then.
bnoble – I didn’t notice anything different. Was there something specific you saw?
