I was thinking I did this last trip, three years ago, but now I can't remember I paid for preferred room at CBR and gave a few room ideas I had hope for...thank you...Jody

You can call and verify that your requests have been added to your reservation. I wouldn't say that's quite the same as you're "supposed to call and remind them." I have never bothered and the CMs at the check-in desk always seem to know what we asked for.

I didn't call to confirm and had gotten what I requested as well.

I didn't call to confirm, but they knew exactly what we had requested. Our request wasn't available, BUT even better we ended up getting a SUPER UPGRADE!
