    Fitness Centers

Well, it appears we will be making a brief trip to Disney in a few weeks, just DH and I. I don't have extra DVC points to use at this point, so we are looking at booking a cash reservation with a passholder rate. We haven't stayed at any of the moderates, but are leaning towards Riverside (French Quarter is not available with a discount). My problem, and the reason we haven't stayed at a moderate or value for more than a day ever, is that DH needs to use a fitness center daily (physical therapy issue, not just an incredible need to lift weights daily ) If we stay at Riverside will he be able to pay to use a fitness center at one of the deluxe resorts (we will have a rental car)? Or should we just stay at Coronado Springs?

Coronado Springs would be the most convenient. If it's any consolation, the resort has a lot going for it as well. As far as I know, the cast member working the desk is not supposed to let guests from other resorts use the facilities, but I've never tried to do that personally. My guess is that there wouldn't be a lot of Key to the World card checking if you go during normal hours. During "off hours" you would need the card to open the door.

Is it ok if I tell my husband Josh says he should just pony up the money for Beach Club?

Looking at something like Saratoga Springs, it says:

The fitness center is reserved for Spa Guests, Guests staying in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Disney Vacation Club Members. Fees may apply for Guests of other Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Room keys are required for workouts. Disney Vacation Club Members not staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort&Spa must present their Disney Vacation Club Member ID.

You guys are members? You could probably rent points to use there on the cheap and it sounds like you can use your DVC membership to get into the fitness centers at the DVC resorts.
