Y E S Tickets can they be refunded?

There may be a situation for one of the children scheduled for our August YES program class. He may not be able to go. I have already purchased his ticket. Does anyone know if I could possibly be refunded his money if it turns out he can't go? I tried to call YES program, but they are closed for the weekend.

    Thank you in advance.

I am pretty sure that they are not refundable. I'm not absolutely positive, but when I called them to find out what their policy was in the event of a hurricane - if you could have the dates switched or get a refund - they said you could only get a refund case by case. Also, on the website it says they are not refundable. Good luck though. Maybe if you call now, you will be able to get a refund.

I've heard the same. Officially, they're non-refundable. On a case by case basis I have heard of refunds being given but I've only read of people who have to cancel their trip entirely and generally that's for some kind of emergency. Good luck! My guess is that right now they'll say a flat out non-refundable as that is the official answer and it's not like you're actually trying to cancel it. If/when the time comes that he announces he can't go, that's when you'll get the real answer. I hope you don't end up needing to find out and that he ends up being able to go with you.

For those reading along, YES tickets are highly discounted which is why they are so highly restricted meaning non-refundable and non-upgradable. They're an amazing value and the classes that go along with the tickets are great but you really need to be sure that you'll be going as you don't have the typical WDW vacation flexibility when you purchase these tickets.

Thank you for your responses. i work the night shift, and have been doing OT, and having crazy sleep wake cycles, therefore didn't call YES yet. The child in question will not know until July 5th if he is able to go out of the state to FL in August. I can barely wait for that date!! :(

Alice, we may cross paths during that time! Our YES class is at Epcot, A photography class, on August 6th. We will be touring using most recommended days from August 1 to August 14. We got the 8 Day YES tickets with hopping and water park and more. Wish we could identify ourselves to each other some quick way! Any ideas?

I think we should walk around like this

Then everyone would be able to recognize us. Or point and laugh. Same difference.

Us, too!! Although only DH (Jeff) and DD12 (Natalie) will be taking the class. I'll be taking their tickets and getting FPs and WISHING I was at the class.

I just revisited this post! Pam, you are too much!!! :)

Sherrie, Yes, I saw Jeff and Natalie. I was the woman with three tired kids, one was grumpy and wouldn't take any pictures. I used a motorized scooter for this trip. I learned a lot in the class. We had a fantastic CM for our facilitator.

Bumping this because I was wondering if you both liked the class. We are thinking about that one for next year.

Rhonda, the class was fun and interesting. I hope I can remember enough of the tips/tricks for my future photography. The CM was excellent! I sadly have forgotten her name. I DID give her a CM Appreciation Card at the end of our class.
