Your Favorite Longhouse at the Poly and why?

We always stay at Aotearoa , it is the farthest away from the hustle and bustle of the Main House, you can hear the Aloha dinner show from there too! Sort of a LOONG walk from the Monorail Station, but I think it has the nicest garden rooms!!

    What about you?

Fiji. Have stayed twice and going back for a third this summer.

Great views either side, and 3rd floor rooms on marina side are just like having a lagoon view room for garden view price.

Close to GCH and Volcano Pool and beach.

    Shhh! Don't tell anyone!

We stayed in Aotearoa once and Rapa Nui once. We prefer Rapa Nui since it's on the TTC end of Poly. Being able to walk to TTC for the monorail is a huge convenience. Not that you can't walk there from any of the longhouses, it just takes longer obviously...

We love Hawaii because, well, it's CL and convenient to everything. This year we will be requesting a room in Fiji on the marina side.

We stayed in Tokelau last time, requesting a room as close to the water as possible, which we got. Nice lagoon view for garden view price, and the hallway stairwell right outside our door opened on a deck which gave us a front row view of wishes across the lagoon. We were also adjacent to the quiet pool, very convenient. Only negative is that it was a bit of a hike from GCH/parking, which was a problem during rain storms.

We've stayed at the Poly only once, and were put in Tahiti (requested Samoa). We liked Tahiti a lot. It was a hike to GCH, but very convenient to the TTC and parking was close by.

We were in Tahiti which was a lovely room and a nice view out of the front of the building. A great location for TTC monorail access. The problem was it was kind of far from the ceremonial house and the volcano pool. I called the front desk and got a room in Samoa, ground floor facing the pool. That to me was an excellent location, the kids could just run out the sliding door right over to the pool. If we were to stay at the Poly again, I would definetly request Samoa.

As you can see, there are lots of good choices. We stayed in Raratonga on the advice of our travel agent. We had a third floor room overlooking the quiet pool, and could see wishes over the top of the building in front of us. (Not a perfect view like from the beach, but on those nights when we were getting ready for bed, it was still fun for the kids.) It was nice being close to the quiet pool and GCH. We could easily sent an adult down to get food from Captain Cook's to bring back to the room. Plus it wasn't too far from the volcano pool, ferry dock, or TTC. And it's close to the laundry facility. The family swam in the quiet pool one afternoon, and I was able to easily come and go to get the laundry finished.

Hawaii! Club Level baby!!!! I loved the Garden View rooms, ground floor. It's facing the quiet pool and we could walk out of our patio door to the quiet pool or just a few extra steps to the Volcano pool. It's very central to everything. The building location is definitely a factor in why we pay for CL (there are other factors but we really do like the location). I think that if I was going to skip CL then I'd want Samoa because of how central it is.

We've stayed at The Poly numerous times. When my DS was young (2-5 years old) we stayed in Nuie or Rarotonga because of the close location to the GCH. I always requested ground floor because of the stroller. Those 2 buildings really made everything very easy to get to. One year we stayed in Rapa Nuie. I really didn't care for the location at all. The only thing convenient was the TTC. The walk to the GCH and Volcano pool was way too far for us. The last 2 years (and this Sept coming up!) we have stayed at Hawaii Club Level. For us it's worth the extra price because it's close to EVERYTHING!

Tahiti is our favorite! I was so disappointed to be put there on our first trip-- so far out! Then we realized: Tahiti is one of three longhouses with larger rooms (Tahiti, Tokelau and Rapa Nui are each 476 sq ft vs 415.) as an "outer" longhouse you get much less traffic and it is adjacent to the TTC, making for a much quicker ride to Epcot! After our first stay, we requested Tahiti for our next 3 trips. I am afraid the much larger rooms and double sinks spoiled us for other longhouses.

We stay in Hawaii with a TPV so that DD can lay in bed and watch the fireworks. Our trip in February is a girls only trip and we will be staying at POR for the first time. It's a quick trip and I am going to FL for business so we thought we'd try a moderate for the first time. We are definitely excited to try something new but we'll probably head back to the Poly CL for our next trip when the boys come with us.
