Epcot to GF Via Monorail--How Much Time to Allow?

We have our Epcot day scheduled for 8/27, a recommended day, with an ADR at the GF Tea Room at 3:40. We will be driving to Epcot, but I'd like to take the monorail from Epcot to GF since we've never taken it that route before. How much time should we allow to do this? Am I remembering correctly that I'll have to take the monorail to TTC then transfer to the resort line to get to GF? Would it be significantly longer/more of a PITA to take the monorail than it would be to just drive? One of the things I really want to do on this trip is take the Epcot monorail line (even if it's just a round trip), so this seemed like a good way to accomplish that.

    Thanks!

A while, sadly. Conservatively, you're looking at a 10 minute wait for the Monorail to arrive and load at Epcot. Then about 10 minutes to the Transportation/Ticket Center. Then walk around to catch the Resort Monorail, wait for it to load, and depart. That can easily take another 10 to 15 minutes. Then another 5ish to 10ish minutes to the Grand Floridian depending on how much of a hurry they're in.

So like 45 minutes. You could hit it just right and cut it down by 10 to 15 or really run into a snag and add another 15.

Sounds like we'd be better off driving if we're short on time. I think we'll be making that trip via on a Magic Kingdom day to go over to Biergarten for a late lunch. Darn you, Josh, and your yummy looking Biergarten review!

I would drive there but then just take the round trip ride to Epcot after you finish at GF. We have done that many times! I love riding the monorail to Epcot!

Oops. How long does it take to do the Epcot/TTC circuit? That might be a good option
