Becky, that's good to know. I knew that National and Alamo were together (their rental locations always seem to be in the same place) but I didn't know that Enterprise owned both.

We love using Enterprise, but they were still about $60 more expensive than Alamo on our last trip, probably because I had corporate rates with Alamo.

I wish the brands that were all owned by the same parent company would all have the same coupon codes and discounts, it would really make searching for the best price much easier!

I think you'll prob see more of that w/ ERAC, Alamo and National, as now the majority of our vehicles can be inter-changed (picked up at an ERAC, returned to an Alamo, etc). I will keep my eyes open for any deals that may be floating around on my side of things, and like I said, I have the family & friends discount, which I actually just realized I can "use" up to 5 times a month, so hit me up! ;)

Another vote for National for the convenience of just walking to a car and the possibility of a little upgrade on the Emerald or Executive Aisles. We've gotten a convertable, small SUV and full size cars with our midsize reservations.
    Thanks,
    Doc

We have always gone with Alamo. If you are a Costco member, you can use their codes in the travel section of their website. Otherwise, you can look at mousesavers for codes. I usually book about 2 or 3 months before our trip, and check the rates every week or two. As you get closer, the price usually goes down.
