I don't think that there is any law that says you can't discriminated based on a person's name. I think it is only religion, nationality, race and in some cases age (as in, you can't not hire someone who is qualified for a job because they are 50.)

I think that I'd feel more discriminated against if there were actually a Red Robin anywhere nearby.....but living in the middle of no where....our choices are limited.

Well, if truth be told, I agree with you Brenda that I don't think there's such a thing as name discrimination, lol. And, it's not like I have an opportunity to make it to a Red Robin today (or most days) so I have no horse in this race. Seeing as how the promotion is based on a Jim Beam swiss burger, I see why they picked the name Jim. But to play devil's advocate and be a stinker, I think someone who had a lot of time on their hands could make the case here for discrimination based on gender. I don't know of any women or girls named Jim, James or Jimboi.

Having never eaten at Red Robin, is it any good?

We love Red Robin. We don't have a single Jim in the home. #1's middle name is James, but I see it has to be the first name. Shucks!

Yep......looks like they do include Jamie (or any spelling of the name). Here is the official list of names:

Offer is good for all guests named Jim and the derivative of it ~ James, Jamie, Jaime, Jaimie, Jami, Jamey, Jameson, Jimmy, Jimmi, Jimi, Jim and of course, Jimbo.
