Should we have out tickets on our room cards?

Going in Oct and staying onsite. DH & I have APs that expire on our last day of our trip and the kids have tickets I purchased from UCT. I would like for the kids to have charging abilities on their cards for F & WF. So are there anythings I should consider before I do this?

In this case, I wouldn't put the tickets on the cards. It will allow the kids more flexibility to use their cards while the FPV can hold onto the tickets to get FPs.

Help out a first timer. My tickets from UCT are paper. I assume that my room card (CSR) will be hard plastic like I am used to at other hotels. Can you feed both types (paper tickets and room cards) in the fast pass kiosks?

Yes, they both work in the FP machines.

Yes, they both work in the FP machines.

And they are actually tuvex (or something like that) not paper so actually quite durable!! And the smaller size makes them easier to carry around then the plastic as they take less space!!

I like to keep mine separate, for exactly that reason.

The only thing I would consider is how likely you feel they are to get lost. If you lost your KTTW (or the kids) that had charging privlidges, tickets and room key all in one, they will just disable it and they will issue you another one. Tickets and all (at least that happened for us back in 2006 when my mom lost hers). But if you lost a tuvex Undercover Tourist ticket you would just be out of luck.
Now, other then my mom losing hers (which didnt surprise me in the least) we have never lost a ticket/KTTW so if you are responsible it may be non issue but it is one plus to having them combined

When I was in Disney in April 2010, I tried to have my UCT tickets put on my room key at DHS (the hotel said they couldn't do it). The gentleman at the counter told me that I was better off just copying the back of the UCT ticket (which he did for me) and keeping it separate from my room key. He said with the copy of the back of the ticket, Disney will replace the ticket (as it is the same ticket Disney sells). He also went on to say that if I put the ticket on the room key and lost the room key, since it was not bought as part of a package, Disney would only give me a new room key minus the ticket.

You said your mother had no problem getting a new room key with her ticket, but was this part of a Disney package or was it an UCT ticket placed on the room key?

Since it is so easy to get a new ticket if the UCT ticket is lost (make sure to copy the back -- when I was there a few weeks ago, I made several copies and kept them in separate suitcases/bags just in case), I preferred having the tickets separate from the room key.

We keep them seperate, I also take a picture of the back of each ticket with my cell phone so if a ticket is lost I instantly have a copy of the numbers from the back.

That said.....many people have had luck having their Tuvex tickets replaced as long as you have a photo copy or picture of the back of the ticket. They can track your ticket by that number and it will greatly increase your chances of having it replaced. So....if you don't add that tickets to your KTTW.....make sure you have a photocopy or picture of each ticket.

They won't put tickets on your room card now unless you buy them as part of a pkg and they also won't give you separate tickets from kttw when you buy a package. This seems to have happened in the past year and I have all kinds of 1 day bits and pieces now since we had APs and had a few trips with different family members coming and going.

Odd. I had some undercover tourist tickets added to my KTTW just this past February.

We've always had ours added, but not at the regular front desk, we've always had to take everything over to the Concierge to get it done. Always seemed crazy to me - the front desk issues us kttk room keys, we walk over to another desk and surrender these along with our tickets, the concierge takes them all and gives us NEW kttk with everything added. Seems like such a waste of plastic and time.

I had our UT tickets added to our KTTW cards with no problem in August. I did make a copy of the backs before we left home, in case they were lost in transit.
My DH noticed that the KTTW cards seemed to have less trouble in the FP machines and was glad we combined. I just think it's easier to only have to keep track of one card, not two.
