ADRs have been made for November trip…I have few days with two bookings because I can’t decide between a few options. Don’t want to hold up tables very long, so I am asking for opinions on these places that I have never been to.
Background: party of 10, with 3 kids (3,5,7). Our other ADRs (that I am not debating) are: ‘Ohana (dinner), Crystal Palace (dinner), Chef Mickey’s (dinner), Cinderella’s Royal Table (lunch)
1. Garden Grill (dinner) vs Coral Reef (dinner)
EPCOT day. We had to make 2 ADRs at GG of 5 each, so we won’t be seated together, Coral Reef we have ADR for 10. GG’s ADR is 30 minutes closer to our preferred time.
Characters are nice, but I also have Chef Mickey’s and Crystal Palace later in the trip, so not critical. Except for CRT, all other ADRs are all you can eat, so Coral Reef would be the only "order of the menu" restaurant we will visit
2. Cape May (dinner) vs Hollywood and Vine (lunch).
This will be on the Studios day. I have heard better reviews of Cape May. Again, characters would be nice, and if all other things were equal, I would take the character meal…but is food at Cape May considerably better to justify missing the characters?
3. Cape May (early breakfast) vs Boma (dinner)
AK day. If we went with Cape May, it would be our only TS breakfast. I have heard good things about Boma, but my issue is that it is on our AK day, and since AK looks to be the furthest from our resort (Beach Club), it may waste too much time traveling back and forth for a mid afternoon break for the kids. So was thinking we will just leave the AK area for the day mid afternoon…or is the transit time not that big of a deal? Or would it be a better strategy, maybe to not do the rope drop thing at AK and show up a bit later and hopefully the kids will last until dinnertime?

1. Garden Grill (dinner) vs Coral Reef (dinner)
I'm not crazy about either one but liked [B]GG better than CR.
2. Cape May (dinner) vs Hollywood and Vine (lunch).
Cape May Dinner Fabulous!
3. Cape May (early breakfast) vs Boma (dinner)
Boma ABSOLUTELY wonderful!
I have personally eaten at all the eateries in question and love giving my opinion about ADRs ! :RpS_wink: I'm a foodie at heart!

1. We've never eaten at GG but our kids love CR (ages 3, 5 and 8). Have a look at the menus to see which you think you'd prefer. For us, the food at GG isn't that appealing.
2. Cape May is awesome! We've never done lunch at H and V but have done breakfast a few times. It was ok. If you're planning on leaving HS in time for your dinner anyway, dinner at Cape May when back at your resort would be perfect. HS is very much a 1/2 to 3/4 day for us so no break but leave by 3pm.
3. We dont' take a mid day for AK either. We either leave after lunch or after the parade so anywhere from 1:30pm to 4pm and then call it a day. Boma could be nice for an early dinner if you do that and head to AKL after. I wouldn't do a sit down at your resort for breakfast and then try to make RD at AK. I think you could be running into a delay to the start of your day donig that when the park is so far away. If you really wanted to do that on an Epcot day or HS, I think it would be different as the parks are within walking or at least a short boat ride away.

1. Garden Grill (dinner) vs Coral Reef (dinner) I have no opinion either way on this one. Haven't done either, but am dying to do CR.

2. Cape May (dinner) vs Hollywood and Vine (lunch). If already in HS, I'd do H & VThis will be on the Studios day. I have heard better reviews of Cape May. 3. Cape May (early breakfast) vs Boma (dinner) Seems like a lot to travel from CM to AK, you probably won't make RD - is that OK? I think Boma dinner sounds like it could work even with a break and travel back to AKL

Will you be paying OOP and How old are your kids? If you are on the DDP I'd definitely go for Coral Reef. We've had great meals there but it's over priced and not somewhere we usually go when paying oop. GG has had very good food. If your kids aren't totally character obsessed I think you have A LOT of character meals/buffets. We found that if we do more than half our meals as charcater/buffet we lose all appreciation of the special-ness of the characters and the food choices all seem to start looking the same.
