I've seen some amazing pictures taken with iPhone 4 and the Camera+ app. Just curious if anyone here has any great ones to share...

My husband has an upgraded iPhone and he loves the camera function. I'm still with my old iPhone, so I have none to share. :RpS_thumbdn:
Hmm . . . maybe I should mention this loudly to my family before Sunday.

I LOVE the Camera+ app. I have a ton of incredible pics from it. Let me look through and find some good ones to add. Here's one:

Another great app is the Autostitch app. Here's a panoramic picture created with that app (shrunk to about 1/10th the size to fit on the page):

Also, an observation on the relatively new "Clarity" scene available in Camera+...
It often produces the best picture, but not always. Try some of the other scenes, particularly "Auto", to make sure you find the one that makes the picture look the best.

Michael - the African Cats photo is great - that wasn't quite finished last time we had walked by it, the sculptor was there still working under a tent on part of it.

Great pictures! I never carried the camera in our family - that has always been DW's job; I was the video camera carrier. But with my iPhone4 I'll be doing still and video, as will DW.
If you haven't seen it, there are some incredible pictures a professional photographer took with his iPhone4 and Camera+ -- he made a book of them: http://taptaptap.com/blog/the-coolest-thing-anyones-done-with-cameraplus/

Great pictures.
Recently I came across very unusal camera related iPhone app while celebrating my 3rd old son's birthday. App name is 'Birthday Camera Free' (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/birthday-camera-free/id431603066?mt=8)and it gives you 4 viewfinders simultaneously with 4 beautiful birthday frames on the same screen. App has lots of birthday themed frames that my both son likes. Check it out.

OK, so had to go buy the Camera app. I own a handful of camera apps already but haven't really been using them since they improved the iPhone's camera on the iPhone 4 with the HDR feature. But for $1.99, it's worth checking out. I liked Hipstamatic but overall I haven't been using the phone much for photos. I tend to think of it from the camera "snob" POV - perhaps I should reconsider. For my skill level (low), I probably don't have a right to think that way anyway!

So Michael, at this point are you just using thaeiphone for your pictures, or are you still bringing a regular camera to the parks. The pics look great, and I'd love to have one less thing to lug around.

One HUGE exception... We're currently staying at Animal Kingdom Villas in a Savannah View suite. I brought the digital camera because it has a 12X optical zoom. I've only used it here at the timeshare. We don't even bring it to the parks.
Other than that, I haven't used anything but the iPhone for a year or more. (We've had five trips to Disney in that time.) Another nice thing is that I can upload pictures to Facebook straight from my iPhone. Before, I would upload them all a week or two after our trip, after I had a chance to sort through them. Now, it's usually the same day (usually within minutes of taking the picture) and friends and family can follow along on our vacations.
It's amazing how many things the iPhone has replaced. We no longer use a standalone GPS. We no longer use a portable DVD player. I seldom bring books with me anymore. Sometimes I'll even go without a laptop.

I really need to save both an "original" and "Clarity theme" version of one of my pictures. On some of them, it's a pretty amazing difference.

I just got my iphone after Christmas and while I love taking pics, I find the pic quality with the phone isn't good. I'm seeing all these wonderful pics people have taken with their iphones and now I realize that its likely related to an app. I'm pretty technologically deficient :RpS_unsure: and I've never actually downloaded an app. I have an iphone 3GS. Will the camera + app work on that phone? If so, does it work automatically once I download it or do I have to click another button or open another screen prior to taking a picture?

The 3GS is not going to take the same quality of photo as the iPhone 4 because they substantially upgraded the camera in the iPhone 4 - I get much better photos with this phone than my previous one.
For apps, once you download them, they will show up on your phone screen. To use them, you touch that to open the application.

Thanks Vicki. Well, that sucks.:RpS_mellow: The guy in the store told me that for what I use a cell phone for, I may as well get the 3GS because I won't need the other features. He mentioned HD video but never said a thing about a better camera. While I had a cell before that, well basically did nothing, I do love my camera and having it with me all the time would have been awesome. Oh well.

Has anyone uploaded pics from your iphone to your photo pass account? I synced my iphone pics to my mac, and when I try to upload them I get an error message that they're too small???!!!?? Any advice/hints?

If you copy them to your computer first (at full resolution) and then upload, you shouldn't have any trouble. Those pics are in the 2MB range, hardly too small. but your iPhone may be compressing them before you send them.

Thanks Doc. I did have them on my computer, but for some reason I could only upload them one at a time. After a couple of time consuming rounds of that, I quit and tried again. I was then able to do a multiple upload. Not sure what the initial problem was. Anyway it was all for naught. I thought that by uploading my pics (and adding what I came to find out are limited enhancements) they would be included on my CD. I just got the CD yesterday. They weren't included, so I didn't really need to spend the time uploading them and adding borders.

I made the same mistake the first time I ordered a PhotoPass CD. I should have read the fine print...
