I have an odd dining plan question. We haven't used the dining plan since our very first trip years ago. A mug wasn't included then. Now you receive a mug for each person on the plan, is that correct? How do you get your mug? Just go to a cashier in the food court at your resort shortly after you arrive? Silly question, I know! :RpS_rolleyes: We are staying at CBR, using the regular dining plan if it matters.

When you get your mugs you will pay for them with your KTTW card which will also have all of your dining credits. You will check out with the cashier.

Just make sure that you let the cashier know that you want to use your DDP. I can't tell you how many times we've had a CM charge our room for something instead of using the DDP.....so now we ALWAYS tell them how we want to pay for the item(s).

I agree. It would also be good to double-check each receipt while on the Dining Plan and you can see if there are credits being used, or $$ being spent.

Just clarifying for my own knowledge... it says "pay" here, but aren't they free with the plan now???

When you buy things, you have to pay. With the DDP you pay with credits rather than money. When you pay for the mugs you use mug credits that are attached to your KTTW card. There will be one credit per person attached to the card. Make sure you tell the cashier that you are paying using DDP credits.

I try to use DS's KTTW to "pay" for meals and and snacks on the dining plan. We don't put charging privileges on his card so they can't accidentally charge things to it.

Oh, I'm so going to do this next time - great idea. I didn't want charging privileges added to our KTTW cards to avoid such "accidents." I fumbled around with Disney gift cards in the parks, but next time I'm doing this. :RpS_thumbsup:

Agreed.
Josh needs to give out a Gold Star for this. Is there an Easywdw award?
