Can you talk me into the Hollywood Brown Derby ? or, what I should ask is please help me convince DH that it's worth the money and/ or 2 credits on the DDP. :RpS_wink:

Thanks!

We went there for the first time in September, on the dining plan. The service was poor and the food was mediocre. I hear many people rave about it, so perhaps we just had a bad waitress and picked the wrong food, but we weren't impressed at all. Even if it were more reasonably priced or a single TS credit, we wouldn't go back.

We've eaten at Brown Derby several times, and the food has always been very good. However, on our last visit, our server was absolutely terrible. I personally wouldn't hesitate to eat there again, but the general feedback I've been seeing is service is much spottier than it used to be - the first several times we ate there we had fantastic service, but that may not be the case as much anymore. Personally, I probably wouldn't use 2 TS credits to eat there - eat out of pocket, sure - but it's not worth it as a signature. If you want a real signature experience, I'd suggest Jiko or Flying Fish, as both have fantastic food and fantastic service.

We didn't really think it was all that the one time we went there. I just thought the food was okay, not great. And even for Disney, probably not worth the price (we pay cash). Nowhere that we really feel the need to rush back to.

Disclaimer: we are cash guests, and ate there nearly three years ago and the menu has since changed. But, we had a really nice light lunch. Atmosphere was great for a couples-only visit; quiet, sophisticated. Service was good. I would probably not want to drop two credits on the meal, though, if I were on the dining plan.
