We are also going the third week of November (12th through 19th) from Milwaukee via flight (thinking we will get in to MCO around noon, but flights aren't available yet) will then take ME to Port Orleans FQ. It is our second trip, two adults, a boy (6) and a girl (8)

Tentative plan

Saturday, get in, swim then head to Downtown Disney and eat at Raglan Road.

Sunday, RD Magic Kingdom until around 2, back to resort, head to DHS for Fantasmic with dining package at Mama Melrose

Monday - RD Epcot - Akerhus reservation (hoping for a late lunch, 12:30/1 pm), back to resort, then to MK evening to hit Wishes and Night Parade

Tuesday - RD Magic Kingdom (lunch at Crystal Palace at 12:30 pm), back to resort; then to head to Epcot for CS dinner at World Showcase

Wednesday - RD DHS, back to resort, dinner at Chef Mickey's 6:30 pm

Thursday - RD AK; back to resort, dinner at DHS (Sci-Fi) kids want to go to Osbourne Lights

Friday - RD MK; back to resort, dinner at Epcot (Biergarden) and then stay to watch Illuminations

Saturday - leave for home

One of my hubby's requirements is to go back to resort and swim for at least 30 minutes each day, so we normally try and hit a low park in the morning and then hop somewhere for dinner. My biggest issue is Thursday/Friday dinner. My plan has us going to DHS on a Fantasmic night, but since we are just going for dinner at SciFi and the Osbourne Lights, I am hoping it is not too crowded, this way we could end with a late night at Epcot and see Illuminations. I could switch the days, but it would have us with a late night on Thursday - any opinions?

Welcome!

Are you sure you don't want a break day in there somewhere, or at least a late morning day? For me that would be a lot of RDs in a row. Since you have three MK RDs, maybe take a break on Tuesday. Sleep in, hang out at the pool/resort, then head over to EP in the late afternoon/evening. You have a late night on Monday, so you may want to sleep in a bit (especially since you have a late night on Sunday, followed by that early morning on Monday)?

Usually earlier lunches are better (11:30), because you're in there ahead of the crowds. You have you're character lunches at prime lunch time, so it'll take longer and the characters may more rushed.

You mentioned 30 minutes of swimming time, but I assume your total break time is longer, right? Including 1 hour travel time at each end, 4 hours is a good amount of time to schedule for a break.

I don't know anything about the Osbourne lights, but I would think that if your expectation is not to ride any rides, you should be ok.

my kids are early risers, so making the parks by 9 am shouldn't be a problem, I don't always expect to get there in time for the little celebration before RD, but getting there by 9 should work. Additionally, the parks mainly close at 8, so we likely will be in bed by 9/9:30. As for the breaks - yeah, by 2 or so, hubby is done, we usually hit the resort, swim a bit, rest a bit and then head out for dinner.

My only concern with doing an early lunch is that with park openings at 9, I was hoping to get a lot done before our lunches, so we could do lunch and then head back to the resort. When we went in 2009, we only did one lunch - Crystal Palace and it was at 11:45. Hmmm

Thanks for your thoughts.
