I'm planning a fall trip to WDW and I'm trying to decide about what discount would be better. I usually order tickets through UT and actually have some no expiration ones that need to be used. I wondered if I were to book Free Dining, and therefore needed to add a park ticket, would it need to be used on that visit or could it be saved? Also, if there were others in the party that would not use their tickets either, would those tickets be tied to them or could someone else use them at a later date? So if I were to decide on free dining and had to add 4 MYW tickets to the reservation, what is the policy on use of those tickets? Hope this wasn't confusing:RpS_razz:

The tickets can be saved so no problem there. As for using others tickets.....that kind of all depends on the CM. The tickets will be on your KTTW card with each person's name.....so.....you will have names assigned to each ticket. But....in theory, they can be transferred to another person since they are unused tickets.

I'm almost wondering if it would serve you better to save the non-expire tickets and just use the ones that you get with the Free Dining package this trip.

The least amount of tickets that can be added to a free dining offer is a 2 day base ticket. Since the ones you have from UT with non expiration would be ones I would save. You may be visiting a time where the best deal you can get is a room only discount which doesn't require tickets like free dining. Also if you're going in September for free dining there is a good chance there will be a room only dicount. Best deal now is free dining so book that with the the 2 night ticket and wait and see what comes up. You can always cancel that free dining package or add additional ticket days if needed. Just make sure you don't add trip insurance as that is non refundable.
