Has anyone ever done it? Considering it for my solo May trip. Total waste of time or really cool???

DW and i did it in December. Being an avid reader of all things WDW, I didn't learn a lot of new things but we really enjoyed the tour. I think a lot depends on your tour guide, but ours was very engaging. Go for it!

Let me echo Dennis' sentiments. I really didn't learn much I hadn't already learned through many, many hours of park research over the past few years. My wife has said I've probably forgotten more Disney info than most people have ever known (and I by no means consider myself an expert). It was cool to do one time. IDK that I'd plunk down the $$ for it again. I do know people who have done it several times though and said they learned different things on each tour. I think a lot depends on your guide. Enjoy!

I know-what a hard sell. It's just me this trip, so I'm going to do all the stuff I always thought about doing that I don't want to pay for other less appreciative members of my family to do.
Told my husband today that I was taking another trip to Disney, this one by myself. He asked me if I was having an affair with someone in Orlando. I told him "Yeah, a duck with no pants"!

Daisy might have something to say about that, and I don't think she'd be nearly as nice as Minnie about it!

I recently went on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and my guide was amazing. She truly was a huge Disney fan and knew lots of info I had never heard or read. She was a Cinderella Castle Suite Concierge so she focused a lot on what the suite looks like, etc. She also seemed to focus a lot on the "backstage" areas, which I really enjoyed. I would try it again with DH, since I was alone on the tour this time. If you can get the discount for one of these groups AP(15%), AAA Diamond(15%), DVC(15%), Disney Visa (20%) it makes it more worthwhile. I was using my DVC discount and the CM I booked with told me the Disney Visa was a bigger discount so I used that instead. :)
