Summer Special

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question already but I'm going to ask it anyway! LOL

I just saw where there's a Summer Special for stays June 15 to August 14. I immediately texted my neighbor about it and he texted me back saying he'd already paid in full. Once a package (room and tickets only) is paid in full is it too late to get the discount?

No, he can call and have the difference refunded to his card. I just did it for a client.

The only time paying in full would be an issue is if it was within the 45 day mark in which case, they could be charged the $50 change fee. But even then.....it can be done!!!

Thanks everybody! I talked to him this morning at the bus stop and he went through AAA and they told him he couldn't get the discount because he's already getting a discount through them.

Huh? That doesn't make any sense. He should be able to change discounts (yes.....he can only have one but he should get the one that saves him the most.) It could be however that the AAA discount is better then the general public one. (I have a client staying one night at POP where this is the case....so she is keeping the AAA discount.) I'd have your friend price out the new discount and if it comes out lower then what he already has....have him call AAA again and tell them that they need to change discounts. If they won't....then I'd consider having him cancel is AAA reservation and get one with a TA who will get him the better deal. Of course....if AAA is the better deal....then he should just leave it alone.

ETA: Opps......forgot that he's already paid in full......tell him that if his AAA TA can't do it for him.....then tell him to have the AAA TA transfer it to a different TA who can. But again.....have him figure out what the new discounted total would be first because if it is more then the AAA discount is...then he won't need to say anything to the AAA TA about changing anything.

Apparently someone at AAA had some sense and got him the discount. He's getting back $65.00 and is going to be staying at All-Star Music instead of All-Star Movies.
