Vacationing Aug. 27-Sept. 3. Traveling by plane from Illinois on a flight that should arrive around 10:00am. Using DME Three adults, myself, DH, DS(9yo), and MIL. Staying at CBR, have two preferred rooms. Our third trip, except for son, who has been twice. We have park hopper and dining plan. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Day 1(Sat. Aug 27)- check in, MK

Day3(mon 29)- EP RD Planning to spend all day ADR Biergarten @ 5:30
Day4(tue 30)- HS may break in afternoon for nap or swim at resort
Day5(wed 31)- MK RD Downtown Disney in the evening?
Day6(thur 1)- EP ADR @ Garden Grill 5:35 (Epcot is very important for us, so must see as much as possible)

Any suggestions to better use our park hopper? Fit in some breaks?

Spending all day at Epcot in August:RpS_scared:
You are only park hopping one time. That is one expensive hop. Why not get rid of the park hopper and see if you can see Fantasmic on your DHS day if it is important.

I would try to either do a late start or a break on your Epcot day. CBR is so close to Epcot that it's a very quick bus ride for a break. or, if you don' t want a break maybe start a little later and plan for some restful shows mid-way through the day.
We enjoyed the fireworks from illuminations from CBR at night. I also think Epcot would be good on your departure day and that may free up another morning/afternoon for a break. We did DTD on our departure day last year and it felt like going out with a thud. Nothing special and it was like we were just waiting to leave. I think if we went to a park to soak up some last atmosphere it would be better.
Also, if you want to drop the hoppers, move AK to your last day and take a break in the morning of your F! night.

Thanks Jill! Appreciate your thoughts. You are right, we will need a break on our Epcot day. Never been to CBR so wasn't sure how close it was.

Hi there! My family DH, MIL, SIL, DD (8), DS (5) DS (4) are there same dates! FIL not coming this year. We're staying at our timeshare at Orange Lake. :RpS_rolleyes: We're doing Epcot on 8-28, Universal IOA on 8-29, AK on 8-30, MK on 8-31, Pool on 9-1, MK on 9-2.
Worried about the heat - but bought those frogg towels / bandanas and overall plan to take it really easy.
Enjoy!!

A good idea in August is to be done by 1/2 in the parks. Plan on the pool, and then head back out 5ish. If you have a good tour plan, you can do quite a bit of damage to a park in 4 hours. Even more so by collectIng FPs and coming back that evening. It is soo uncomfortable after 1 that it can be no fun. And the worst park for that is Epcot World Showcase!
I'd consider your evening dinner plans and how important they are to you. If you are willing to drop them, then don't plan on leaving, and stay til you want to go. If you make it, fine. If not-- go home. But if you really want to accomplish what you have at night, than I'd make a plan that increases your chances that will happen. And that means a break from 1 - 5 each day.

Thanks mousehelper. We have only been in May and October so we are thinking we will do afternoon breaks. :RpS_scared: Never really used FPs before. Am I right in that we can use them any time after the time on the ticket?

Yes.....you are right!!! FPs are one of my favorite things about Disney. Other parks make you pay to get the same type of a service but Disney makes it free for everyone which I think is wonderful. Once you try using FP.....you will never go back!!!!
